The focus for this professional development activity is to provide evidence- based pressure injury prevention, treatment and care applicable to acute and long-term care facility patients. This CE is designed to provide practicing nurses with tools they can implement when providing care to patients who are at risk of developing pressure injuries. Discussed also are the ramifications of pressure injuries on not only the patients, but on healthcare organizations and nurses.

Successful completion of learning activity:
Participants who view the recorded voice-over PowerPoint presentation in its entirety, complete the evaluation form, and pass the post-test with 80% or higher, will receive an electronic certificate via email. RNs completing the activity will receive a 1.0 contact hour of continuing education.
